Pieces of Lala is a narrative feature film based on true events. Lala Castro grew 

up with a mother who gave her a joint at eight and champagne at ten. By adulthood, 

she's in love, in recovery, and fighting the system to keep her children, all while the

 woman who started the cycle remains a powerful presence in her life. A story about

 intergenerational trauma, survival, resilience, and what it truly means to break a cycle.
